     Ahoy! Welcome to the crew of the Lamprey’s Kiss. 

     You can call me Sevro. I know you’ve only signed on for a single day’s fishing voyage, so you’ll only need to know the basics around here, unless you go the full contract. We’re going out for tuna, but we could run across some swordfish or mackerel too, if those scoundrels on the Hydra’s Hauler don’t follow us again and scare off the good ones.

     Those knaves keep edging in on our secret spot at the end of Took’s Current! We’ve had to chase them off twice now with swords and bows and polearms, and I’m getting too old to be jumping between boats to do battle with them-who-think-to-be-pirates. It’s not true, by the way. What they say about the Lamprey’s Kiss instigating the Kraken attack that caved in the Hauler’s fishing spot over Brandybuck Rift. 

     How were we to know the wizard’s underwater ensnarling spell would reach that deep? It was just a bit of magic to bring in the fish so we could make a quick job of it. We’re all just trying to earn a living here! 

     Anyway, why don’t you grab one of those swords there, and I’ll show you a few quick whacks that’ll send those rapscallions scrambling back to their ship. And whatever you do, don’t you go mingling with Hauler Crew before we set sail! I won’t have them telling you tales now!
