Vendor/Volunteer Check-In

Opportunities Late Friday afternoon, All day Saturday and Sunday

The Vendor/Volunteer Check-In volunteer hands out packets to appropriate vendors and volunteers on Friday night**, Saturday and Sunday. **Outside of Faire hours, check with
your assigned supervisor. The Vendor/Volunteer Check-In volunteer will be positioned inside on Friday and at the ticketing booth on Saturday and Sunday.

The Vendor/Volunteer Check-In volunteer is responsible for making sure that the vendor and volunteer (20 entrance passes max per vendor) packets are given to the correct
and authorized person as they arrive at the venue.

The Vendor/Volunteer Check-In volunteer will manage the queue for Vendor/Volunteer check-in.

The Vendor/Volunteer Check-In volunteer should ask each person in line if they are a vendor or a volunteer.

Receive the file box with vendor check-in info from Lee Correll.

If the individual is a Vendor:

  • Ask for the vendor’s name and booth number.
  • Find the vendor’s packet in the file box.
  • Check off the vendor’s name on the list.
  • Hand the packet to the vendor.
  • Explain to each Vendor Representative:
    • They are responsible for handing out their team’s passes (20 max entrance passes).
    • The booth volunteers and co-vendors will each need to show their individual entrance pass to get into the venue. They must distribute the passes before the booth volunteers and co-vendors get to the entrance on the day of the Faire.
    • If a vendor support team member attempts to enter without their pass and the vendor’s packet has already been handed out, advise the person missing their pass to text or phone their co-vendor to bring them their pass.
    • Vendor staff that are working multi days should retain their pass for use each day.

If the individual is a Volunteer:

  • Ask for the volunteer’s name.
  • Find the volunteer’s packet. The Vendor/Volunteer Check-In volunteer will have the packets for the volunteers scheduled for Friday.
    • Check off the volunteer’s name on the Vendor/Volunteer Check-In list.
    • Remind the volunteer that their Badge and their plus one’s Pass are their entrance ticket to the Faire.
    • Hand the Volunteer their one free Mead token.
    • At the end of managed vendor/volunteer check-in for Friday, the file of packets will be closed and left in the care Lee Correll.
    • Saturday morning ticket takers at the Ticketing booth will need to check-in and handoutpackets to latecomer vendors.
