Ticket Taking & Greeting
Opportunities all day Saturday and Sunday
Ticket Taking & Greeting volunteers will deal with (1) pre-purchased tickets, (2) handling the sale of onsite tickets, and (3) checking in VIPs, Vendors, Volunteers or Edutainers.
The Ticketing volunteers will be positioned at the ticketing booth on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be sold from 9:30 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and from 9:30 AM to 5 PM on Sunday.
Ticketing volunteers are responsible for making sure that each patron entering the venue has purchased a ticket to enter the venue. Ticketing volunteers will observe patrons for unauthorized weapons, real or fake, at entry. You may notify Security if you encounter an issue.
There will be four queues for ticket taking/greeting at the ticket booth.
(1) Prepaid
(2) Online purchase at the door
(3) Cash purchase at the door
(4) VIP and Volunteers
There will be signs indicating which line for patrons to use, plus a sign for volunteers.
The Ticketing volunteers should greet each person in line and ask if they pre-purchased their ticket online. If the patron pre-purchased tickets online, scan the QR code for each ticket with the ticketing tablet. This might be presented as a screen shot on a phone or printed on paper. SCAN EACH TICKET PER ADULT. Note that VIP ticket holders get a 30 minute early admission to the Faire Marketplace.
If the patron has not pre-purchased a ticket, guide the customer to the QR codes to purchase ticket(s) and then use the ticketing tablet to scan their ticket. If the onsite ticket
line is long have the patron step aside until they have finished and can show us their new QR code on their phone.
If the patron purchases using cash, accept the cash and place it in the Cash Box, provide change if necessary. Request the patron use the Signup List (on Clipboard) to
ensure they are added to our mailing list.
Ticket scanning tablets will be passed from scheduled volunteer to scheduled volunteer during each ticketing day. At the end of each day each tablet is returned directly to Lee
Correll by the last scheduled ticketing volunteer.
The Ticketing volunteers will check in Faire Volunteers from the printed list. Record each volunteer as they arrive. Provide the Faire volunteer with a packet containing the
White volunteer badge and an entrance pass, their assignment sheet and a mead token. Instruct volunteers to proceed to the Information Booth located at the Hall
entrance to be directed to their assignments. Multi day Faire volunteers should be informed to retain their Badge for use each day.
VIP ticket holders will have pre-purchased tickets (a two-day ticket) online. There are no Faire Day sales of VIP passes. Check and record their name on the VIP roster, provide them with their Purple Badge and have them proceed to the Information Booth located at the Hall entrance to receive their VIP goodies.
