Oakenmist Renaissance Faire

Information Booth

Information Booth

Opportunities all day Saturday and Sunday

The Information Booth volunteer will staff the Information Booth located to your left inside the vestibule as you enter the hall. Provide directions to mead garden,
bathrooms, and any other locations within the venue. The Information Booth volunteer will answer questions as asked and be helpful to guests as they wander the Faire.

The Information Desk volunteer needs to familiarize themselves with the amenities and activities occurring within the Faire and will need to be able to answer questions and
route customers to different areas of the venue. The Information Desk volunteer will also manage Lost & Found.

  • At the Information Desk the VIP Guests will collect their keepsakes and favors.
  • Please refer to the VIP list and ensure the VIPs are wearing their Purple Badge.
  • Please provide the VIP the following:
    • A ceramic Oakenmist mug
    • 30 minute early admission to the Marketplace
    • One free mead pour token
    • Remind them they have a special area in the mead garden, near the Bawdy stage
  • The Information Desk volunteer will maintain custody of a walkie talkie to contact ticketing, first aid, parking, or the Faire leadership team as needed.
  • The Information Desk volunteer will assist volunteers directing them to the location of their volunteer assignment. The Information Desk volunteer needs to notify Casey 301-466 1984 or Joanne 301-706-6289 if a volunteer doesn’t materialize at their scheduled time.
  • The Information Desk volunteer will maintain custody of Lost & Found items and will facilitate lost items being returned to their owners. The Information Booth volunteer will record contact information (name, phone number) for collected lost items in the Book of Lost & Found. The Lost & Found container will be kept behind the Information Booth during Faire hours and then locked up at the end of each day for safekeeping.
